Extension for New Microsoft Edge Browser

Microsoft has rolled out a new browser replacing the old Edge with a new Edge based on chromium. The new browser has a similarity like Chrome and Mozilla that you can personalize it the way you like by adding or enabling some extension from the store. The best part is the new Edge support both extension from Microsoft Store and Google Chrome Web Store by simply allowing extension from another store setting in the new Edge.

First, we add some extensions from the Microsoft Store by open the new Edge and click the
3-dot button on the top right then click Extensions

Select Get extension from Microsoft store

The link will take you to the Microsoft Edge Addons store and there you can choose any extensions  to your preferences

In this guide I will add Speed Test extension to the browser and click Get to proceed

Then click Add Extension and a message popup the extension has been added to Microsoft Edge meaning the integration is success

The extensions integration success. To access the extensions, just go to the top-right and click the extensions you just installed

And now we proceed to allow extensions from other stores. Similar to above step, but first you need to enable the Allow extension from other stores by clicking the toggle switch at the extensions windows and click Allow on the popup

Now once you enable it, open the link to Chrome Web Store 

Search the extension you want and click add to chrome than click Add extension. For this guide I’m adding the Todoist to the browser

So, now you have 2 extension from 2 different store and from here you can choose to enable or disable it by clicking the toggle switch beside the extension or remove the extensions.
